Today, the Working Group adopted final amendments to the second reading of the draft Law “On Critical Infrastructure” (Reg. No. 5219) of March 9, 2021.

Appropriate and relevant proposals on certain items that took place at today’s meeting really strengthen both the responsibility and more effective implementation of the Law.

I remind you that the Law defines the basic principles of state policy formation in the field of vital infrastructures of Ukraine.
Critical infrastructure insurance, specifically its obligation, has again created additional conditions for a lively discussion.

The members of the Working Group, including representatives of the National Bank of Ukraine as a regulator of insurance activities, made the necessary efforts to ensure that the article on insurance was meaningful and did not limit the further implementation of insurance against crisis risks in critical infrastructure.

Thankful to Iryna Vereshchuk, Oleksandr Fedienko, Ievgen Vladimirov, and other members of the working group for fruitful and professional cooperation.

We are waiting for the adoption of the Law by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
