On December 6, “International Cybersecurity University” took part in the round table “Protection of critical infrastructure of Ukraine” within the framework of the information security community conference #UISGCON15
Experts-participants of the event discussed problematic issues in the field of critical infrastructure and priority areas of search for the most effective solutions regulating the development of the industry. Key points of the meeting:
– legislation is urgently needed in this area. Its absence constrains all processes. So, before the new legislation there will be questions and claims, but it at least will exist.
– all participants agreed that the new structure should be engaged in coordination of this area. The differences were only that it has to be public organization, a state agency or department. But by all accounts, the existing structures are not able to perform this function.
– in the absence of a coordinated approach to the definition of critical infrastructure, it is possible at least to approve their list, so that certain requirements are imposed on them.

According to Roman Boiarchuk, comprehensive protection of critical facilities is an extremely urgent problem, because we are talking about the development of the state system of protection of critical infrastructure and national security. For its part, “International Cybersecurity University” continues to develop effective methods of organization of this system and actively participates in solving complex issues of the industry.
